In one of my classes this semester we have been learning the importance of visuals, graphic organizers, etc. Text2mindmap.com is a wonderful way to create mind maps and collaborate notes into a simple visual. The site gives the example of months of the year, dividing each month by a season. This could be used in all subjects to organize concepts and create a visual of the bigger picture.
To stick with this idea of visuals and organizing data, infogr.am is also a wonderful tool. Even as an adult I despise graphs and charts, but compiling data in this way is great for students. This site allows teachers to create simple and unique graphs, charts, maps, etc. all just by inserting the data into a spreadsheet. A site like this makes teaching just a tad bit easier.
